Opus One 2022 is a sophisticated Bordeaux-style blend from Napa Valley, composed of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 6.5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, and 0.5% Malbec. The wine offers a rich bouquet of blueberry, cassis, and dried rose petals, complemented by underlying notes of olive, cigar box, and graphite. On the palate, it delivers harmonious flavors of bright red fruit, cocoa, and fresh orange peel, supported by fine-grained tannins and a lifted mineral core. This vintage was aged for 18 months in new French oak, resulting in a long, elegant finish with touches of wet stone, vanilla, and coffee that promise excellent aging potential.
